Cindy started their career in the manufacturing industry operating under the principles of lean six sigma. Walking the production lines for 2 years reinforced the connection between processes and the data it generates, a principle which has stuck through in their ongoing data practice. Cindy has since moved into the technology industry with experience in B2B and B2C companies, developing data products and business intelligence tools for internal and external audiences. Gifted not only in understanding what data would be most useful for customers, but in coding and building those tools herself to ensure for quick iteration.
In software, Cindy still saw the impact of presenting data to be served up within users' existing workflows in their different roles in Product Management and Business Intelligence. Cindy was able to bring together all of her past experiences and technical expertise in the implementation and growth of the Data Culture at HopSkipDrive, which led to increased adoption and utilization across the company.
Cindy believes in the power of data to highlight opportunities and facilitate better decision making, even beyond technical industries. As a volunteer Board Member of a local Los Angeles charter school, they have brought in their data product expertise to highlight opportunities for educators to close learning achievement gaps.
